This paper will discuss the implementation of mobile based asset management system for a streamlined and programmed Green Infrastructure (GI) maintenance. DC Water utilizes IBM Maximo as their core product for work order management system. Traditional solutions included using paper based form to capture and collect information on maintenance performed on the GI facilities for reporting and creating follow-up work orders. With limited resources, this traditional approach would be inefficient; consuming resources to transfer information from paper into Maximo system after the field work is completed. The solution utilized by DC Clean Rivers (DCCR) Project at DC Water includes mobile application based Maximo Anywhere application. This mobility product based solution includes utilizing a tablet to capture field information in real-time into form based system that can sync the data into Maximo Server at regular time intervals.
