In this study, we present two different techniques for reduction of redundant frames in active WCE videos. The reduction scheme of active WCE videos is first time explored in this study, while for the passive WCE has been studied before. The redundant frames in the active WCE are created mainly due to natural peristalsis and we use Harris algorithm for comer detection and RANSAC algorithm that is robust to illumination, brightness, scale, and noise. Based on our experimental results, we can reduce the diagnosis time from 40 to 50% with no loss of diagnostic information.
