In recent years, the process of improving the contact connections is faster due to the widespread use of the pressed and welded contact joints, the use of copper cladded aluminum disc springs and bolted contact connections. The replacement of copper elements with bimetallic aluminum-copper ones allows reducing copper consumption by 60-80 per cent, reducing the weight of the current loaded elements of the electrical equipment and devices by 30-45 per cent, reducing the cost by 20-45 per cent.
