Requirement on accuracy of geometrical size of axis parts is very high. By adopting traditional contact measuring methods may scratch the work piece, and it has disadvantages like high cost and low efficiency. Axis part meter of light curtain style has adopted optics non-contact measurement, so it has perfectly solved problems like this. In the paper, in-depth analysis of image de-noising principle based on partial differential equation(PDE) is introduced. By means of local adaptive ability of non-linear PDE, image filtering and edge sharpening and enhancement as well as edge extraction are realized. What's more, linear geometrical measuring method based on edge fitting is proposed and analyzed. Finally, light curtain styled multi-parameter detection system for axis parts is introduced. Apply the proposed method into detection of axis part. The result shows that the method can accurately and effectively detect parameters like diameter of axis and parallelism degree of axis and so on.
