EFFECT OF DETOURS ON PERSONNEL LOGISTICS IN SERVICE INDUSTRIES

This study focuses on vehicle scheduling of service organizations. Detour, time window, and excess ride time constraints make this problem unique. Detour restricts excess travel time. Time window constraint is imposed on collection side. Excess travel time is formulated differently. Results obtained from an intuitive heuristic offer practical insights.
