摘要

A novel triphenylene-based discotic liquid crystal 2-Allyloxy-3, 6, 7, 10, 11-pentabutoxytriphenylene was synthesized. The chemical structure of this compound has determined by ~1HNMR and FT-IR spectrum, and its mesophase was investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and polarizing optical microscopy (POM) methods. This compound was expected to show classical texture of columnar phase in a wide mesophase temperature. Since this compound has an unsaturated bond, it also sets the foundation of designing liquid crystal polymer.
