Global mutual agreement at Kyoto Environment Conference is fresh in our memory. China and India, whose populations are 1.2 billion and 0.9 billion, respectively have recently begun their motorization. The authors, concerned that severe "greenhouse effects" would occur, have proposed the necessity of an "Asian Car" since 1993. We estimate that the "Asian Car" will be developed and refined together with ITS, "Intelligent Transport System". We expected that it is reasonable to improve the eco-vehicle to make the Asian Car, assuming that the trailer is attached to the eco-vehicle and on it there is a small gasoline -powered engine. It can be predicted that the "Trailer Hybrid EV" can run 1200 km at the speed of 100 km/h on the highway charging batteries once. This means that the "Trailer Hybrid EV" has the fuel consumption rate of about 50 km/1 on the highway. The ordinary driver can enjoy driving the single body of the eco-vehicle: EV in the city most of the time , but they can sometimes enjoy long distant travel on the highway attaching the optional trailer to the eco-vehicle. We estimated it using the results of the experiment s in 1997 and announced it at EVS-14. We designed the "Hybrid EV" and actually, constructed it this time. We measured the air resistance using a wind tunnel and selected the model with the least resistance.
