Research on Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Subjective Well-being of Vegetable Growers in Shouguang

Objective: discuss the current situation and influencing factors of SWB of Shouguang vegetable growers, China. Method: Make a research of 99 vegetable growers in Shouguang with a Campbell chart about Index of Well-Being, Index of General Affect. Result:(l) Vegetable growers in Shuoguang's SWB index is 8.165.(2) vegetable growers of 31~40 years old have a lower index of general emotion, satisfaction to life and SWB than those of 41~50 years old. (3) those who own one or two canopies higher than the ones who have three; those who work for 6~7 hours a day have the highest index of general emotion; those who employ workers lower than the ones who do not.(4) The index of satisfaction to life and SWB of vegetable growers vary with the different attitudes to the price of vegetables. The one who has a explicit motive of cultivation lives a happier life than those who do not. Conclusion: the subjective well-being of vegetable growers in Shouguang is just so-so, which is deeply influenced by age, scale of cultivation, average time for work, employment, attitudes to price of vegetables and motive of cultivation.
