Application of Grey Model GM (1,1) to Highway Transportation Estimation

In order to rationally forecast the amount of highway transportation accurately and to enhance the ability of highway management, we establish the grey model of GM (1,1) and give out the detailed steps to forecast the amount of highway transportation. We apply this model with the real data about the volume of passenger transport and the turnover volume of passenger transport based on the recent statistic data of China. Furthermore the error test work is done in this paper. The results of the error test work show that the enough precision is obtained in the estimation.
