摘要

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of composition of microemulsion on permeability of hesperetin through rat skin and its photoprotective effect. It was found co-surfactant significantly influenced the permeation rate. Microemulsion with PG showed highest penetration rate, followed by ethanol, glycerol and PEG 400. Sunscreen agent padimate O, as an enhancer could increase the drug penetration rate. Hesperetinloaded microemulsion showed significant topical photoprotective effect and diminished skin irritation. Keywords: Hesperetin; Microemulsion; Photoprotective effect.
