摘要

Carbamazepine (CBZ), a lipophilic antiepileptic drug, was encapsulated in poly(lactide-co-glycolide) acid (PLGA) nanoparticles and its pharmacological effect was evaluated in vivo on epileptic DBA/2 mice and compared to a cyclodextrin (used as a solubilizing agent) formulation of the drug. The polymeric nanodevices modified the biopharmaceutical properties of the active compound by inducing an improvement of its plasmatic half-life, brain uptake and antiepileptic action.
