摘要

To study the application of uniform information classification and coding (UICC) for building domain ontology. This paper defines the new concept of domain ontology based on UICC as an innovation. Applies the theory of UICC to the process of domain ontology building. Sets up a new method of building domain ontology, it includes six steps: concept collection, relation analysis, layers division, uniform coding, describing ontology in OWL and instantiation. Finally, the domain ontology based on UICC is produced. Then many problems of ontology will be solved effectively by the new concept and new method, such as the identification, description, gapping and standardization of ontology, therefore, it's an effective solution for building domain ontology towards information integration and application integration.
