Invited Paper: Shihlin hydropower development project in Taiwan

摘要

For the Shihlin project, new construction methods will be applied for construction of the power tunnel and shafts. These include the TBM method, raise-boring method, telescoping form, etc. In addition, the dam will be built on the alluvium deposit layer with a depth as deep as 44 m. The design and construction of the project are involved in a certain degree of technical difficulties, which call for carefully studies and evaluation.
