Triple-band Circularly Polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna for WLAN, Wi-MAX, Bluetooth, Zigbee and LTE Application

In this paper, a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna is proposed. Using a single DRA block, several modes have been generated which produces multiple frequencies. By introducing metallic strips frequency bands are shifted at lower frequency bands. Placing U shaped microstrip-feed and metallic strips at 90° angle triple band circular-polarization is obtained. Asymmetrical ground plane has been used for bandwidth increment. The proposed DRA gives axial ratio bandwidth of 11%, 0.61% and 0.97% around 2.49 GHz, 4.92 GHz and 8.26 GHz respectively which can be used for WLAN, Wi-MAX, Bluetooth, Zigbee and LTE applications.
