New Nuclear Plant Training; Challenges and Solutions

摘要

Significant development of training programs for nuclear power plant personnel was last performed in the 1980s. Since that time all operating nuclear power plants have implemented and maintained their training programs by adhering to NRC regulatory requirements and National Academy for Nuclear Training accreditation standards. With the looming construction of modern nuclear power plant designs, new training programs will have to be developed to ensure that operators, maintenance personnel, technicians, and engineers possess the skills and knowledge to safely operate and maintain the plants. However, in some instances, existing methods, processes, and standards challenge the development and implementation of effective nuclear power plant personnel training programs.
