New type scrubbing-cooling chamber is an important part of the new type coal-water slurry gasifier. In order to study temperature distribution in Scrubbing-cooling pipe in new type scrubbing-cooling chamber, a hot model equpiment is established. Measure the axis temperature along the pipe. Numeric models of temperature distribution and liquid-film flow in the pipe were established with the simulation software Fluent. The results indicated that there exists an optimal quench water quantity for given cooling effect and this water quantity could also simulation result. In the condition of optimal quench water quantity, the temperature decline regulation was found: most of temperature decline happened in the upper parts of the pipe, in the upper 0.2m height of the pipe, the temperature of syngas declined the severest. The temperature distribution simulation results are so well agreed with the experimental data that it can be given a guidance to the design of gasifier in industry.
