Organolanthanide complexes were reported to be able to catalyze olefin polymerization[1] . Butadiene could be polymerized to a predominantly 1.4-cis product in yields up to 98% by Ziegler-Natta catalyst system composed of organolanthanide complexes and aluminum alkyls[2]. The early lanthanide elements' catalytic activity is higher. We had reported that [(t-BuCp)_2LnCH_3]_2(Ln = Pr, Nd, Gd) could serve as a single compoent catalyst for styrene polymerization c 3] . The neodymium aluminum bimetallic complex(t-BuCp)_2NdCH_3-HAl(i-Bu)_2 was synths-ized by the reaction of [(t-BuCp)_2NdCH_3]_2 and HAl(i-Bu)_2 for studying catalytic activity of the divalent system composed of Ln-C 6 bond organolanthanide and alaminum alky for olefin polymerization. We preliminary study solubility and catalytic activity of the complex.
