摘要

A new method of desulfurization of molten iron has been developed with magnesium vapor in-situ produced by carbothermic reduction of magnesium oxide. The desulfurization rate depends mainly on the rate of reduction of magnesium oxide. Under the rpesent experimental conditions, the desulfurization rate increases with increasing temperature and Ar carrier gas flow rate.
