摘要

The quantification of uncertainties is an essential ingredient in CFD, in order to reduce the risks associated with design decisions based on simulations. The main non-deterministic methodologies for fluid flow simulations are reviewed and examples of computational results quantifying operational and geometrical uncertainties for the transonic flow in NASA Rotor 37 axial compressor are shown. Finally, several of the main challenges to be further addressed in order to bring these methods at the level required by the industrial applications are summarized.
