We report the design and development of a compact and efficient speckle reduction system for red-green-blue (RGB) laser-based projection technology. All three laser beams were combined using X-beam combiner and allowed to pass through a set of diffractive optical elements (DOEs). The laser light after passing through the set of DOEs were coupled efficiently to a piece of a single fiber of multimode type. Both ends of the fiber were diffused uniformly and the output-end was coated with a uniform layer of TiO_2 nanoparticles to enhance the light scattering and hence for the reduction of speckle contrast.
