In this paper we demonstrate how big data and state of the art machine learning techniques are used to build, test and deploy intelligent models to predict and optimize fuel consumption of High Speed Craft (HSC). This included addressing the challenges of predicting fuel consumption at high-speed in real-world conditions and providing real-time advice to the crew to optimize vessel settings to minimize fuel consumption.
