摘要

Chlorine-based disinfection technologies are most widely used to limit waterborne diseases and pathogenic organisms. Such disinfectants either are strong oxidants or species that generate oxidants as by-products. Especially for the use of chlorine dioxide as disinfecting agent the quantification of formed chlorite, likewise crucial for the regulatory issues of bleaching products, is of importance for the analysis of drinking water and process wastewater streams.
