摘要

Firstly, the urban industrial sites are identified in accordance with the international and China's industrial heritage definition and Tonglushan ancient copper mine site, which is located in Daye, Hubei province, is defined as a mining and processing site of industrial heritage in consideration of its history, composition and value, which is an industrial heritage worthy of protecting. Then, Tonglushan ancient copper mine site is selected as a case study. This study points out that the original functions of the remaining industrial structures are being gradually weakened while the historical values, spatial characteristics and ecological environmental potentials it carried will become an important indicator of the sustainable development of spatial environment. In addition, the paper also describes the importance of conservation, activation and regeneration of this industrial site so as to adapt the urban development trend and strategy adjustment characterized by urban industrial structure adjustment and function transformation. Finally, the paper also further indicates that the transformation of this mining site requires for sustainable developments, and the establishment of ecological concept, the shaping of mining site landscape will be helpful to develop the efficient economy, save the resources and establish the environmental harmony.
