Application of ground penetrating radar in songshuling landfill site, Huzhou city to investigate the leakage passage of pollutants

摘要

In order to investigate the possibility of leakage and associated groundwater pollution of Songsuling landfill site, we applied ground penetrating radar technology to the site and interpretated the radar signals for different mediums, i.e. limestone, landfill leachate and pollution plume. This work in combination with water chemistry analysis demonstrates that ground penetrating radar technology is effective in detecting the leakage passage of pollutants.
