When Tank Monitoring Systems are installed in Seawater Ballast Tanks 1. Data are downloaded and analyzed by Navy Maintenance Personnel on a periodic basis 2. Tank is not prepared for entry unless requirement is indicated by the tank monitoring system 3. ISIS can be used to corroborate tank condition (with reduced gas free requirements) Reducing tank entry based on the tank condition indicated by the Tank Monitoring Systems will result in significant cost avoidances.
