Reliable operation of the electrical equipment of production units /electrical machines, transformers, switches, distribution fuse boards, contactors etc./ are -greatly governed by the technical state of fixed contact connections. The fixed level of contact resistance cannot be provided at the operation stage. Under the influence of unfavourable factors this level gradually grows with time. Contact resistance calculation methods available give no chance to define qualitative relations taking into account the influence of both separate factors and their set. The object of this paper is to show the efficiency of applying regression dependencies for studying and choosing prospective contact connections developing trends with regard for all the acting factors taken together.
