The selection of treatment processes for a new water treatment plant (WTP) can be very challenging. Pilot testing can significantly reduce the number of challenges and risk of any new design. Pilot testing can be a vital tool to determine the optimal components of a new treatment train in terms of treated water quality, capital and operational costs, and operation and maintenance requirements.
