A coaxial relativistic backward wave oscillator (RBWO) with inner sinusoidal corrugated conductor is studied. The dispersion equations of TMOn modes of the slow-wave structure(SWS) is derived ,calculated numerically and discussed. The nonlinear beam-wave interaction is simulated and optimized with particle in cell simulation code. The results shown that the output power, frequency and efficiency of the device are 1GW, 10GHz and 20%, respectively under the operating voltage 500kV and current 8kA. The axial guided magnetic field is 0.7T. Numeric and particle simulation proposes that the device has the latent capability of suppressing mode competence and operating under low axial guide magnetic field. The RBWO with a sinusoidal corrugated coaxial structure is easy to manufacture.
