New Progresses for Magnesium Alloy Research Development and Applications in China

摘要

In this article, the development of China's magnesium industry in 2006 is introduced at first, with the updated data of primary & alloyed magnesium output and statistics of exports & domestic consumption. The emphasis of the article is laid on the new progresses for the magnesium alloy research & development and its applications in China. In this section, we stress that high-quality magnesium alloy is a base for its further development and applications. Especially for high-strength, heat-resistant and high-temperature anti-creep magnesium alloys, they could assure a reliable and secure way for the expanded applications of magnesium. At last, we will take some examples of high-quality magnesium alloy technologies in China to display some applications in the transportation fields.
