SOFC Cogenerators for Business

摘要

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) operate at very high temperatures and have many features that make them the natural technology for stationary power applications.The high operating temperatures allows the use a variety of fuels that are readily available today such as natural gas,propane and methanol,to name a few,without the need for expensive external reformers while using today's hydrocarbon fuel infrastructure.The heat generated by SOFCs is easily harnessed and effectively employed in combined heat and power (CHP) applications with resulting efficiencies approximating 85-90%.
