Today's mineral resources industries are continually being challenged. They must remain profitable in a world of advancing technology and they need to be sustainable to ensure their long-term future. In response to these needs, CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) continues to work closely with the minerals industry to help meet these demands using its broad range of expertise from detailed mineralogy and primary metallurgy to the application of pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy and biotechnology to downstream processing.
