OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN CO-INCINERATION OF ANIMAL MEAL IN CEMENT KILNS

About the incineration of animal meal in cement kilns there is already existing a lot of experience. In France regular fuels are substituted by animal meal since 1996. The thermal disposal in cement kilns has the advantage of the especially high process temperatures and the long residence times. Negative effects on the process and clinker product can be avoided by restricting and monitoring the input loads of phosphorous and chlorine.
