An Approach to Model the Online Learning

Online learning has been becoming one important way to get knowledge. There is a great effort and interest in the research on how to improve the effect of this process. In this paper, we have analysed the online learning using the complex system approach. We conclude that the online learning, which involves the learners, the learning environment and exterior factors, and the interaction between or among these factors, has the characters of complex system. Thus, we use the method of multi-agent simulation, which is one of the approaches in researching the complex system to model the online learning. In this paper, we give out a preliminary multi-agent model and will enrich it after to support further research.
