This project focused on detection of heavy metal accumulation in durum wheat from sewage sludge or commercial phsphate fertilizer application, using Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Mass Spectrometry. Four parts of the durum wheat plants were separated and analyzed (i.e., root, stem, leaves, and grain). Studies compared the metal uptake resulting from sewage sludge appliation and from commerical fertilizer. Sludges and fertilizers were applied in one application, ecpt for one study which considered the effect of the dame sloudge dosage, except in two applications.
