Successfully Implementing a Client/Server Environmental, Health Safety System

Increasingly organizations are implementing client/server environmental, health and safety (EHS) systems. Some choose to build their own, while others buy commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) software. While the reasons may have changed for implementing client/server systems, the features of successful systems and many of the pitfalls in implementation have not. Requirements and features of an environmental system in a client/server environment need to be discussed in the planning stages of the system.
