摘要

The thermal picture quality depends, apart from the sensor characteristics, on the dynamic range of the radiance over the target and/or the background. The radiance is in turn a factor of local temperature & emissivity variations of the scene. The local temperature and emissivity gets vitiated due to the constant exchange of heat between the target and its surroundings. Solar loading, convective forces, rain, dew and cloud cover all contribute to the radiance over the target, besides it's locational, seasonal and geographical dependence.
