The system components and functions of 300 MW operator training simulator for coal-fired power plants in the North-west Electric Power Simulation Training Centre are briefly described in this paper. The main points mentioned are the special features of STAR-90 modelling support system, the simulation of CENTUM DCS and the simulation of industrial TV for combustion flame and water level displays. All these technics adopted here are well proved of practical values.
