摘要

Grade blending is a critical problem in open pit mining operations. Although truck dispatching systems try to provide desired grade blend based on the materials being mined, efficient shovel allocations in order to a mine right combination of materials will support to realize the grade blend objectives. Application of a shovel allocation optimization tool is thus presented in this paper which integrated with a discrete event simulation model of mine operation investigates the grade blend deliverability in an iron ore open pit mine case study and provides detailed schedule to achieve the grade blend objectives.
