The matrixes of electrochemiluminescent light emitters in the form of a special reservoir and nanosized cavities filled in with an aprotonic solvent (dimethoxyethane) and a luminescent dye (rubrene) were assembled and investigated. The technological route of its fabrication onto both optically transparent glass and opaque silicon substrate with possibility of light output in two or one direction correspondingly is described. Microcells effectively emit light in the range of 560 nanometers when operating voltages of 4-10V DC were applied.
