Touch devices such as smart-phone have a limited'number of touch sensors to represent the exact touch coordinate. Thus, it is difficult to extract the exact centroid in touch areas. To overcome this problem, the algorithm for extracting the centroid coordinates uses the interpolation method which approximates the coordinates of touch points. This paper proposes the interpolation algorithm based on the cubic convolution, which is known as the interpolation method with high accuracy. Also, this paper proposes a partial subpixel algorithm for improving the deteriorating speed due to complexity for accuracy. In experimental results, we show and analysis the results performed under various conditions.
