Revitalization of the Urban Cultural Environment through the Restoration of the Historical Stream System: A Proposal

摘要

Since the 1990s, efforts have been augmented to provide innovation in the city environment and to strengthen identity in Korean cities, including Seoul. This tendency has been developed in the following three directions: (1) To restore ecological soundness by expanding park greens and nature, (2) To humanize cities by converting vehicle-centered traffic into pedestrian-centered one, and (3) To preserve and restore the historical environment.
