Discussion on Landscape Design for Inhabiting Zones in the Northeast Area —Redefinition of Environment and Site

摘要

There is special climatic and geographical condition in the northeast area. There are also special site feature and culture characteristics. Correspondingly, the landscape design in this area should have the ability to carry and express such characteristics. In this paper, the design philosophy combines with developing site's natural growth according to geographical features in the northeast area with human awareness is put forward, aiming at the problems such as serious homogeneity of landscape design for inhabiting zones in the northeast area, disharmony between buildings and landscape environment, and low utilizing efficiency of landscape environment and infrastructure under frigid climate condition. Efforts are made to evoke the natural quality of site in order to realize redefinition of environment and site.
