Some aspects of highway foundation near the High Tatras

The foundation of highway bridges and embankments near High Tatras is being provided in very difficult engineering-geological conditions. In the first part the paper the author deals with comparing the results of field pile tests with the calculations of various boundary conditions and in the second part with measuring the influence of the high embankment on the slab culvert.
