Settlement and instability problems in urban tunnels with anthropic fills and sands over the crown

摘要

The instability problems originated by the presence of anthropic fills in the Madrid Underground Extension are analized. Also the problems of possible hole, induced by TBM excavation when a sand layers without fines are in the crown, are introduced. Geotechnical criteria for these problems are developped.
