摘要

The propagation theory of acoustic wave and flow-rate wave in drilling fluid circulation system is investigated. Both theory analysis and our expeiments show that early gas kick can be detected by flow-rate wave in the system. The propagation principle of flow-rate wave is the same as that of sound wave. We have found that the signal anti-interference capacity of flowrate wave is much better than that of sound wave. Our new approach was verified through offshore rig tests.
