Agreement between ozone profiles from the lidar at Hohenpeibetaenberg and Brewer/Mast Sondes, SAGE II and HALOE is better than 5 percent between 20 and 40 km. At 45 km the lidar seems to be high by over 10 percent. Lidar derived temperatures are 5 K lower than radiosondes or NMC between 30 and 35 km. Since 1987 lidar, SBUV and SAGE show ozone depletion between 0.5 and 1.5 percent per year around 35 to 40 km.
