RF Jacketing Line for Manufacturing Iter Cable-Inj-Conduit COnductor

摘要

RFHT takes part in manufacturing of superconducting cable-in-conduit conductor for ITER toroidal field coil. During 1994-1995 years the jacketing line is designed and mounted in 35 km south from Moscow. The main technological and quality assurance equipment is created, installed and tested. The jacketing line is fited out by take-up-pay-off unit, welding equipment, caterpillar, winch, rollgang (up to 1000 m), tube rolling mill, different tools and devices. Equipment description in detailes in presented in the paper. The main steps of the technological process are assembling of conduit, welding joints control, cable pulling through, compaction and conductor quality control. Results of the trials are presented and discussed.
