The Multilayer sheel of Urea Reactor designed for Chemico Total Recycle Urea plant developed minute leak in service after 21 years of trouble free operation. Failure to attend this leak willresult in corrosion of the backing carbon steel layers and ultimately in catastrophic failure. But detection of this minute leak in an overall area of 40 sq. mtrs. by conventional Non-destructive testing was almost an impossible taks, hence techniques like Water fill test, Soap solution test, Permascope measureemnts, Helium leak test and Ammonia vapor leak test were carried out to identify and for final itnegrity check of the liner.
