Studies on the Pathogen of Fish Bacterial Septicemia in Zhjiang Province during 1989approx1992: Biocheical Characteristics, Virulene and Serogroups of Aeromonas hydrophila

摘要

A serious disease broke out in fish in Zhejiang province as well in other provinces in south China. Bacterial strains wee isolated from moribund or bead fishes, including crucian carp (Carassius auratus), silver carp (Hypothalmichthys moltrix), bighead (Aristichthys mobilis), blunt-snout bream (Mygalobrama ambly-cephala). Most of the isolates were gram-negative rod, oxidase and catalase positive, single polar flaegellum, glucose fementative, resistant to the vibriostatic agent (0/129). These characteristics indicated that the siolates belonged to Aeromonas. hydrophila.
