This paper deals with the water quality models of high-yielding fish ponds. The models consists of many ordinary, first-order, nonlinear differential equations which are solved simultaneously. The equations represent the variations of water temperature, dissolved oxygen concentration (DO), algae biomass, fish growth and water respiration. A finite water layer method is presented to establish modles for stratification fo water temperature and DO. The correlation coefficicnet between simulated and measured DO values is R~2=0.87. By simulation, the fulx densities of heat, DO can be obtained, including solar radiation, algal photosynthetic oxygen, water surface reaeration, benthic respiration, etc.
